On Thursday March 7, 2013 surrounded by her family, Annette (Netta) went to meet her Savior after a brave and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 58 years old and was loved deeply and survived by her husband John, son Matthew (wife Kirsten), daughters DeAnna and Hannah, father Clayton, and brothers Don, Ed, Tom, and Steve. She is predeceased by her mother Dorthea, brothers Joseph and Tim, and sister Paula. Annette was born in Sacramento, California, to parents Clayton and Dorthea Giroux. Annette grew up in the Arden Park Area, where she was an avid swimmer, volunteer, and loved to sing. She attended Rio Americano High School and later American River College and Cal State University of Sacramento. After college she worked as a clerk and analyst for the California Water and Air Resources Resources Control Boards. In 1982, she met and married her husband John Pedri and became a mother, friend, caretaker, prayer warrior, and a major force in the stability of the Pedri family. Her commitment to God and her family was outstanding and she worked together with her husband teaching Sunday school and youth groups, along with being a participant in the Birth-Right International. In her later years, Annette became a licensed pre-school teacher at Roseville Presbyterian Church. Her loves and hobbies included attending church, bible studies, family picnics, trips to the California and Oregon coasts as well as adventurous train trips across America. She especially valued the years of watching her children participating in cheerleading, dancing, gymnastics, football and other various sports. Her legacy will be her wonderful Christian children and her ability to touch lives with a compassion and commitment, which was fueled by her faith and desire to honor God here on earth.
