Follow Me - How Appropriate I would love to share a short little story about a honeymoon event starring Annette and John. We had at least three honeymoons, but the one that stood out the most was our first one to the Sutter Creek Inn. We were required to stay fairly close to home due to Matt’s recent broken jaw. Well, after dinner at Bellotti’s my new wife and I decided to take a stroll around the beautiful gardens of the Sutter Creek Inn. I remember vividly and proudly telling my new wife to follow-me and I would take care of her! She smiled and gave me a kiss. As we made our way back to the front door I decided to take a side door instead. She said, are you sure this is a way into the Inn? and I said, ”of course.” So I opened this side door and we heard a sudden “splash” and a little “scream”, and I looked down and there was a women grasping on to anything she could find to hide her bare self and I immediately belted out an expletive and quickly shut the door and told Annette to run……………The next morning it was a little embarrassing to have a sit-down for breakfast with all of the hotel guests……Both Annette and I could not figure out what husband and wife were rudely interrupted by a great leader and husband! John
